T-minus two weeks until one of the best holidays – THANKSGIVING! I’m instantly in a good mood thinking about all of the yummy food I’m going to consume and watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It doesn’t get better than that! Am I right?!?
Fall is one of the best times of year for fashion -I love all of the rich colors and layering pieces – so you’ve got to bring your A-game when it comes to choosing your outfit for the biggest fall holiday! I’m not gonna lie, it can be quite the struggle picking out an outfit for Thanksgiving. You want something super cute, but comfortable. If only it was acceptable to wear sweatpants to the dinner table that day LOL!
If you need some inspiration for picking out your Thanksgiving outfit, I’m sharing some examples of looks below. All of these outfits are Thanksgiving approved! They will allow you enough comfort to cook, help serve, and even clean. All on top of still feeling polished for the million family photos you’ll have to take that day. Check them out!
I’ve been loving the sleek, satin skirt trend lately. I didn’t think my short, curvy self could make this look work, but I did and I’m obsessed! This skirt comes in multiple colors and prints, and you better believe it when I say I want them all! I added a black belt to this look after I took pictures, and it looked even better! I paired the skirt with a bodysuit to show off my figure, but you can even wear it with a chunky sweater for Thanksgiving to hide your food baby after you’re done eating. It’s amazing how such an elegant, ladylike piece as this skirt can go with a cozy, chunky top, too!
When I was scrolling through Abercrombie’s website and came across this look, I thought it just screamed “Thanksgiving!” Right?! I love a nice denim skirt and this one adds a little something extra to it with the slit in the front. The sweater is traditional and gorgeous, and even comes in blush pink and cream, too. And the finale – the coat! That is what I call a hero piece. Such a festive look for the fall!
I live for a great sweater dress during this time of year and Red Dress Boutique has a ton! I love the rich camel-tan color of this one. Flowy or baggy dresses are always a great option instead of pants because I know I’m going to eat so much! Throw on a belt with the dress to give it a bit of shape and then just take it off after you’ve gone back for seconds, haha!
You can’t go wrong with wearing jeans on Thanksgiving! There are so many ways to style them. A chunky sweater or bodysuit are usually my go-to, but I love this layered look with a nice, heavy cardigan over a plain basic top. Super comfy but still chic!
