What to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Happy Thursday friends! I love celebrating love, AND I don’t pass up a good reason to party so bring on all the beautiful decor, yummy food, and dancing music! Summer wedding season is in full swing! This time last year I had just finished dressing as the bride, and this upcoming year I’ll be cheering on all of our friends who have found that special someone! So exciting!

Whether it’s a wedding or special event that you have coming up, I wanted to share with you these dresses that are perfect for any occasion, specifically most types of weddings!

This Wanderer fit and flare dress is my dream dress for a wedding! I’m obsessed with this lilac color (a light purple with a pinkish hue). It’s a color I typically don’t gravitate toward but I think it’s becoming my new fave! It’s gorgeous in person! This dress is the perfect combination of elegance yet subtly sexy at the same time. The v-neck shows just enough skin, and the smocking detail at the waist shows off your figure. It’s what I like to call a “hero piece.” The dress is the statement so pair it with neutral accessories. Don’t worry about outshining the bride in this dress, but you might outshine all the other guests! It’s also made with georgette polyester fabric so it’s super lightweight and comfortable for those hotter months. I’m wearing an XS in this dress.

I wore this dress to Ryan’s friend’s wedding last month, and it was honestly the perfect dress for a spring/summer wedding. The Alicia dress is simple, but not in anyway basic. Let’s not get those two confused! I love how form fitting this dress it to show off your curves. If you’re nervous about it being too tight, pop on some Spanx like I did and you’ll be good to go! The flirty ruffle at the hem makes it more fun, and I LOVE that it has adjustable straps for the perfect fit. I also want to mention that the wedding was held outside and this dress was lightweight and didn’t show sweat at all. I think that’s always a must to think about before choosing a dress for a summer wedding. This dress runs TTS so I’m wearing a size small.

Having feminine dresses like these in your closet with sleeves or a modest hem allow you to always have an outfit ready to go for wedding festivities, baby showers, or even meeting the in-laws. No matter the occasion, you’ve got an appropriate outfit, without sacrificing style.

These looks I’m sharing are cute little numbers I picked up at Cella’s Boutique. I was immediately drawn to these dresses because of the beautiful colors. You can never go wrong with shades of pink!
